Preparing yourfiles Care of your banner Warranty and delivery Color It is recommended that filesaremade inRGB color format. CMYK format works just finebut there isa larger color rangewhenprinting from RGB. Stay away from grayscale (black only) files. Any grayscale files will print out an ugly shade of brown. The EPSON inks we use are made towork together to create the correct color. The black ink is actually a dark brown. Resolution 150dpi at 100%wouldbe a good quality picture. 72dpi (dots per inch) at 100% is goodenough for banner prints at a distance . 150dpi at 50% is good enough for us to enlarge to 100% (would equal 72dpi) 300dpi at 25% is good enough for us to enlarge to 100% (would equal 72dpi) and so on. AcceptableFileTypes .Ai - .PDF - .tiff - .jpg - .ps - .INDD StoringVinyl Banners There isgenerallyno special procedure to followwhen storing your vinyl banner.We suggest storing it out of the sun, and rolledupwith the print side in. Do not fold the banner ink side to ink side, the inks will transfer to one another. The sunwill damage your banner over time, even if the print side is hidden.Additionally, it is best to store banners in adry place, indoorswheremoisture cannot accumulate. Vinyl Banner Cleaning Our full-color printed banners are easy to care for. APi-Marketing recommends using a non-detergent when needing to clean your vinyl banner. Donot usedetergents or other aggressive cleaners, as they candestroy the color. Useanon-abrasive clothandavoidall cleaning pads. If your damp clothwithwaterwill not clean successfullyand youneeda cleaner, we suggest usingamild soap/water solutionon your custom banner. If you do use some soap, make sure that you remember to rinsewithwater completely to ensure that all of the residue is removed. It is very important not to use any severe or harsh cleansers or solvents of any kind. Because it may affect the quality of your custom banner. Be certain your vinyl banner is dry before putting your custombanner in storage. Banner Damage andRepair If your vinyl banner becomes rippedor torn, itmaybepossible tofix it byusingpatches.While thisprocess issometimesadequate it isnever effective inmaking the rip or tear disappear.We recommend replacing your vinyl banner with a new one fromAPi-Marketing. It is possible that we still can locate your banner print fileand recreate it exactly as it was. Spot ColorMatching Although digital printers donot print PMS (Pantone) colors, our production teamwill manually adjust the color output tomatch your spot colors upon request (per color). Please ask us about colormatching servicewhen you upload your files. Reprinting If you are in need of graphics from your previous orders printed by us, let us know before you approve proofs. To match colors with previously printed banners, we need extra time and information from you. We typically hold files for 1 year. If you request it at the time of order we can back up files for future use. Outdoor Use Our outdoor banners are printedwithUV-safe inks to prolong the life of your banner. They are hemmed around the edges for long life and canbegrommeted for easy display outside your buildingor event. Delivery Typically we can ship or deliver your order within a 3-4 working days.
